Florida Certified Organic Growers and Consumers Inc. (FOG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation established in 1987. With our mission being education and access to locally sourced food, and the unfortunate happenstance of coronavirus, we decided to create The Backyard Market, a virtual farmers market that could help to support our community by providing other sources for sustenance, as well as provide additional outlets for farmers to sell their goods.

The Backyard Market prides itself on providing locally sourced food to the community and additional business opportunities for farmers. Our virtual market allows farmers to know orders in advance, helping to reduce food waste. It also allows for farmers and customers to order and sell goods quickly and conveniently. We as an organization are proud to support local Farmers Markets and to provide the community with an additional source for local grown food. Check out Florida Farmers Market Association, also a part of Florida Organic Growers created to help those looking to establish new markets, improve practices and increase access and availability of local food.
